Finding Your Sixth Dimensional Self

Most humans live in five dimensions. If only we were taught about the sixth dimension at an earlier age, we might spend a lot less time trying to find out who we are and why we are here.

No-one really teaches us about our senses; we discover them automatically through our eyes, ears, nose, mouth and hands. From an early age, our curiosity about life is an exploration of these senses.

In much the same way, no-one really teaches us about our dimensional aspects but we discover some of them as we grow and accept them as a normal part of our humanity.

When I refer to human dimensions, I am not thinking about height, breadth and depth and how we can fit into a car seat. I am thinking about the parts that alternative therapists like me work with in healing sessions. They are the parts that make up our whole. There may be differing definitions out there but this is the way I work.

The five dimensions of being human:
Physical
Mental
Emotional
Intuitive
Spiritual

These five correlate with the Elemental realm as Earth, Air, Water, Fire and Spirit. I have found that they also correlate with the chakras.

Physical Dimension – Heart Chakra
Our physical aspect is held in our Heart. This is the first organ created in the womb and it is around our heart that our body forms.

Mental Dimension – Solar Plexus and Throat Chakras
It is our initial awareness of self that kick starts the process of thinking which in turn requires an outlet. This stimulates our Throat chakra which governs communication and self-expression. This is where we gather knowledge and awaken to our intellectual self.

Emotional Dimension – Sacral and Throat Chakras
When we move beyond our self, we become aware of others and our need of them which feeds into our feelings. We express our feelings through our Throat chakra often in art forms such as song, poetry, drawing, etc. We discover that self-expression benefits from emotion.

Intuitive Dimension – Third Eye and Sacral Chakras
Intuition, a sudden knowing, tends to reach us in the head and gut simultaneously. They are ideas that affect us emotionally.

Spiritual Dimension
This fifth dimension does not refer to our soul. It is the essence of the person we are in this incarnation; the energy we give off that people recognise as us, our character, our presence.

Most humans live quite happily within these five dimensions. After all, they give us enough to survive and even thrive. They help us become a useful part of the family; to form meaningful relationships within our social group. They invite us to explore, to travel, to express ourselves as individuals. We use the experiences gained to make judgements; to form opinions. With these five we are quite capable of making love and making war. We can even shape the destiny of mankind. We can invent anything because we have technology, physics, maths, language. Within these five dimensions we can become so capable that we blinker ourselves to the need for anything else. If we ponder the question, “Who am I?” We might look to our ancestors. If we ask, “Why am I here?” We might look to physics to discern the origins of the Earth and the human race.

Intellectually, these are good answers, but do they make your heart sing? The problem with living in five dimensions is that we are not yet fully incarnated as a human being. And we will never feel whole until we find our sixth dimension.

To reach this state we need to awaken a further three chakras.

It is easy to think that the Root chakra is awake as it is about our physical form, our bone structure and our urge to reproduce. But it can do so much more. The clue is in the word ‘root’. Rooting into the Earth is something we have to do consciously.

Okay, so why should we want to? We have two legs with feet on them, we go about on the surface of the planet, what would we want to root for? How can we move if we are rooted?

Rooting into the Earth is not about becoming fixed. It is about connecting to the body that gave us our body. When we root into Earth, all the minerals is our body that have been gifted to us by Earth wake up and feel ‘at home’. It is this awakening of the root chakra to its full potential that makes us realise that we belong here. Belonging is a sensation many of us have found missing in our life of five dimensions.

So, how does this show us who we are? As an intellectual and emotional search these questions often invoke a curiosity about ancestors and genetics. And whilst these do play a part in our physical form, they are only part of the answer.

Let’s look again at the Heart chakra. Deep inside is another chakra, our Higher Heart. This is the person that we were before we incarnated. Yup, you were someone before you were someone. For you have a soul and this is your true self, and it has been waiting for our 5D self to catch on. This process may take a lot of work although, for some, there might be a ‘light bulb’ moment.

Even with this knowledge, we still have more to do before we can step into our 6D self, we need to awaken the Crown chakra. As the name implies, this sits at the top of our head above our intellect and intuition. The Crown and the Root form a vertical axis through our Higher Heart and connect us to the Earth and the Sun.

Whoa, now hang on, this is all getting a bit woo-woo! First we have to root into the Earth and now we reach up to the Sun? I’m only 1676mm high (5’ 6” in my vernacular). Even if we think outside the box, it can still be a confusing graphic for the more literally minded especially since the Earth rotates and the Sun moves across the sky.

What we are talking about here is the Sun as the life giving force to Earth. The energy of the Sun is in all things that grow and form on Earth. So the energy of the Sun is already within us energising the minerals of our body and making a home for our soul.
When we view our life as this bridge between the Earth and Sun giving nourishment and energy to our soul, our sense of place and purpose is awakened. Only now are we fully incarnated and able to become a sixth dimensional human. Only now can we start to discover the reason why we are here.

Our 6D self does not override the other dimensions for these also form an important part in our incarnation. Our soul, chose to be born into the body we inhabit, so all its foibles and issues were chosen to be part of our incarnational experience, we should accept them as gifts we need to work with (with love – yes, love is important).

If that’s not enough of a reason to step into your 6D self, let me give you a quick taster of what this means.

This last paragraph is going to condense a whole lot of stuff (coz this blog is long enough) but here goes.

Our sixth dimensional self is our grail form. For now we are like a cup, a chalice, open to receive spiritual experiences which can then be translated into the purpose of our existence on Earth. Yup, it’s a biggy. In fact (to use an Americanism) it’s a super-exciting biggy! You have to be a 6D human before you can enter the seventh dimension – and there is a lot of exciting stuff happening there right now.
